R means rainbow! Optical calcites filled with internal rainbows I’ve labeled with a R. Optical calcite will always throw rainbows up on your walls, but when they have internal rainbows you also get a light show in the stone itself ✨ 

These babies flash with rainbows even when not backlit, it’s just the easiest way to show them 🌈  they will light up even in the shade 🖤
